Post-holiday wishes and Pre-holiday warnings

Where ABA discovers he can't afford a Tesla but can afford to read Dean Koontz

So the Thanksgiving rush is over and now the post-Thanksgiving insanity has begun.

I know because I jumped right in.

Leather jacket for 70% off? Check.

Comedy calendar for nothing off? Check.

Star Wars branded vest and yoga pants? Check. (No, not for me)

High-end Tesla convertible with custom paint job, and low riders for $250,000.00? Check (sorry, just kidding)

What really has me going (aside from having had a curbside seat to the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade) is the discovery of Dean Koontz. Yeah, yeah, I’m sure many of you have been reading his stories for years, but I was on a bit of a reading diet for many years and now I am looking around in amazement at the plethora of great authors and the incredible stories they’ve written.

I recently completed The Silent Corner and I am quite simply floored. Jane Hawk, an FBI agent looking for revenge, a global conspiracy, great settings…I don’t know what to say. I am grateful  (dare I say, thankful?) to have found Mr. Koontz.

I get to add him to my list of favorite authors that include such notables as (in alphabetical order):
Blake Crouch
Dean Koontz
Dennis Lehane
Cormac McCarthy
Marnie Riches
Kristin Kathryn Rusch
Bram Stoker
Andy Weir
(yes, the links are to their web sites)

There are plenty more, but those make up some of my favs.

I hope you all had a great long weekend for Thanksgiving (for those of you in the US) (it might not have been long for those of you who may have had to work, but I hope it was a good one anyway) and you didn’t overeat (too much).

New book coming! I hope to have a cover/title  reveal soon!

What will you feel?
